BOOKS
Here is a basic list of some significant books that have
been helpful over the years. They have direct links to

Local
Author and Activist (books 1 - 4) - Roberta Kreider, the
wife of a local retired Mennonite minister, has written
three fantastic books that deal with
GLBT
issues and religion. They live outside of Quakertown, and
travel across the USA telling their stories.
Roberta's
story began when her brother came out to her that he was
gay as he was dying of AIDS.
They
tell the faith stories of local couples and these books
have made a huge difference in the lives
of
people
who struggle with being gay and Christian. It would be
great if each library bought copies of these three books by
this local author. (Roberta sells the full set of
three
for

Roberta's
sister-in-law, Ann Showalter, has also written a book on
her journey to understand and accept GLBT people after her
husband's (Roberta's brother) death.
